Lincoln Debuts Model L100 Concept Car

Lincoln recently unveiled its Model L100 Concept car. Here's some more information about this proposed car coming up.

Lincoln Model L100

The idea behind this car is that it would be fully autonomous. It debuted recently at Pebble Beach; the Model L100 calls back to the Lincoln Model L back in 1922. This was the second car that Lincoln came out with this year. It started with the Star Concept this year, and the Model L100 builds on that. The L100 is envisioned as a battery-electric car that will be autonomous with a very sleek-looking body.

This will be aerodynamic and spacious. The inside is supposed to be luxurious and full of features. This will be different than a lot of the Lincoln vehicles that tend to focus on being traditional and functional. This concept is one of the longest and widest options for Lincoln in general. It's low on the ground and hugs the road. The interior of the vehicle has a center console with interactive features that some people call the chessboard. It has a jewel in it that looks a bit like a chess piece. This replaces the traditional steering wheel model. It's because it's a naturally autonomous vehicle.

The L100 concept has special ideas for the social seating setup as well as for the driver. If you want a more social setup for seating, you would be able to flip around the seats, so they're sitting right across from the passengers in the other row. That way, the people inside can all see each other easily and can converse that way.

The idea for the inside is to be immersive with interesting options like the digital floor, the ambient lighting, and the canopy that it has. The focus for the designers was also on making connectivity easier as well as having many software options. At the same time, however, you could use it to "detox" from the digital if you wanted, which cuts down on buttons and create sanctuaries from the real world.
