In 2020, the Lincoln Continental does not get significant changes from the previous model year, except for some changes to its exterior paint colors and an assortment of new add-on options and packages to make it even more tailored to your liking. The Lincoln Continental stands out for its exceptionally spacious back row, which has an impressive amount of legroom for back seat occupants.
A smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable ride is a highlight of the 2020 Lincoln Continental, which also gets a nod of approval for its quiet cabin that is also luxurious, upscale, and tech-savvy with features like a head-up infotainment display and a suite of driver-assist safety technologies. This year, the Lincoln Continental is offered with three engines and an automatic transmission. The 2020 Lincoln Continental is available in three trims. The Continental family starts with the base trim called the standard. Its interior includes 10-way power-adjustable seats in the front row and upscale wood trim accents that give it a more sophisticated appearance. The base trim also features standard climate control for comfort and ambient interior lighting for a more polished and luxurious appearance. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather and contains the audio controls, climate controls, and cruise control.
This trim gets a backup camera and some standard safety technology, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The base trim also gets a push-button start for convenience and the Sync 3 infotainment system. Its exterior features 18-inch wheels, a chrome-accented front grille, LED daytime running lights, and LED lights in the rear. The mid-level trim is called the Reserve. It gets a more powerful engine and larger wheels up to 19 inches. The sound system contains 13 speakers, and the front seats are power-adjustable in 24 ways. Illuminated door-sill plates add a touch of luxury, while a heated steering wheel is a welcome convenience on cold days.
This year, there are three engines available for the Lincoln Continental. The first, which comes standard on the base trim, is a 3.7L V6 that produces up to 305 HP and 280 LB-FT of torque. This engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. The second engine, which comes standard on the Reserve, is a twin-turbo 2.7L with six cylinders that produce 335 HP and 380 LB-FT of torque. The third engine is a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 that produces 400 HP and 400 LB-FT of torque.
The Lincoln Continental has a suite of safety features, including airbags for all, a glove box knee airbag, a panoramic backup camera, and the Co-Pilot360 package with lane-keep assist, pre-collision avoidance, cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. An SOS post-crash response system is standard as well.
